I think it's a bit misleading to announce an update to an extremely dated gamemode and only do the bare minimum (see: fixing ending encounters, adding ascensions), though from what I can tell there aren't any improvements to the systems which needed them most. You cannot rob the shop, vertical pathing is still impossible, stat bloat is worse, more hallucinations and cursed relics now going from 1 -> 3. Of course, it's unrealistic to assume they'd go out of their way to fully "revamp" IS2, but it seems worse than before. Just my two cents.

It's much easier to take as many encounters as you can on 1F~3F when fishing for ED3's node instead of banking on it showing up on later floors.

Back on the IS2 grind...
