Yeah Hotta is pretty incompetent and their constant fuck ups in the first two years of the game's life are why the game basically flopped immediately (like actually flopped, never making it past 6 figures in sales after launch, not like how people say HSR or WuWa flopped because they placed 2 places below Genshin in a top 5 chart).

Though it's also funny that some people noticed that Genshin started to plagiarize ToF later on, Scara's moveset is basically a watered down Rin's and Xilonen's wall running animation is uncannily similar to the wall run shoes animation from Domain 9. But Mihoyo can get away with it because Hotta is tiny

Mirroria is genuinely a well made area, lots of districs and landmarks that actually feels like you're in an open world cyber punk city. Though this was also the patch where they introduced Fenrir who powercrept the game so bad that Volt is still paying for her sins till this day. Imagine if they release a character who's C0 by themselves was stronger than a team of formerly meta C6s by a huge margin and that margin only grew wider if you got her cons. This character was so powerful that the only way to solve it was to have every other character release be on par or stronger than her while never releasing a good volt character again to this very day.
