In what sense? Everything is incestuous if we have a metaphysics that starts with fewer entities and ends with more. If we're talking about royal lineage, then I guess we have the vanity to keep power within the clan instead of spreading it around to other families. But then again, you could just have women from out of the family to keep the blood fresh, so maybe the vanity is more along the lines of breeding yourselves?
