I missed the kan angle myself, it wasn't the most intuitive approach when facing a 4th place riichi, especially when it makes the wait worse.
I didn't feel very comfortable throwing souzu into that bakyou but I wanted to gamble for the first place anyway and 8s riichi'd
Not sure what I'd do if I drew a souzu tile from the kan though. And I think in ranked I'd even foldcuck here with 6p
