UKRAINIAN AIR FORCE: DAILY COMBAT REPORT - 16 JUNE 2025 (08:00)
Summary of Enemy Activity: On the night of 16 June 2025, Russian forces launched a large-scale saturation attack involving 138 aerial assets. The attack utilized a combination of Shahed-type attack UCAVs and various decoy drones launched from multiple vectors in the Russian Federation (Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo). The primary axis of attack was directed at the Donetsk region.
Defensive Operations: Air defense assets, including aviation, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare (EW) platforms, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, were engaged in repelling the aerial assault.
Engagement Results: As of 08:00, a total of 125 hostile aerial targets were neutralized across the northern, eastern, southern, and central regions of the country. The breakdown of neutralized targets is as follows:
84 targets destroyed by kinetic fire.
41 targets neutralized through electronic warfare measures (radar lock lost / system suppressed).
Impact Assessment: Enemy ordnance made impact at 10 distinct locations. Debris from intercepted targets was reported at 8 additional locations. Damage assessment is ongoing.
