The Elon deal could not have played out better. He spent a ton of money and bought Twitter and this helped us massively, and we should always respect him for this, but once Trump was in office he expected for favors to be returned. Trump stood firm on the EV mandate and that ultimately killed their relationship. It was never about spending for Elon, it was always the EV credit.

But Elon knows, and has likely been reminded a thousand times in the last 3 months, that ALL of his companies are reliant on government subsidies, contracts, and green lights. So no matter how butthurt he is about this bill taking away the Tesla gibs, he can't go full retard again cuz Trump can wipe his companies off the map. The cherry on top is that Elon is massively for H1-Bs and this takes him out of Trump's circle.
