First time I heard of this freak was in the first round of spamming on this board months ago. I got the impression he was some highly effective troll who managed to ragebait the entire internet including /v/irgins, so I wasn't interested in following the drama. Then I watched a video recently about him and learned he was actually a once highly respected gamedev authority.
