I'm a day 1 player, I stopped playing during Viper’s release (cuz I didn’t get her and was mad af) and came back during Tia and Naga’s release. I was struggling to stay in Silver, but it didn’t even take a year to reach Diamond in Arena.
Today, I can fight for Diamond 2. On the other hand, people in Challenger are just ABSURDLY ahead, I’ll never catch up to them unless they stop playing.

But if we’re just talking about the 2k gems, then yeah, it’s perfectly doable for anon to catch up eventually, as long as he manages his resources well.

Also, even if anon NEVER catches up and dies in Bronze, what are 4k gems per month? 10 pulls? Oh wow.
I’m sitting on like 100k gems right now, and I’ve NEVER BOUGHT A SINGLE GEM or pass. I’m sure those extra 4k I get each month aren’t doing any miracles, and consider that I manage my gems in the most dumb way, I keep pulling when I'm being unlucky, I pull on every single banner, I pull on 1% banners and so on.
