have you ever watched a 1-2 hour youtube essay on some history shit or whatever, TV works, your brain goes into recording mode. If you find something you never thought about you snap into conclusion mode real quick and usually miss a little of the video you watch.
Otherwise, once you end that and have silence around you you tend to hear your thoughts again. Can also be accomplished by being on here and lurking, your inner voice most likely is reading to you.
For midwits, apparently it's that radio silence in recording mode while watching TV, but all the time.
