See, this is a perfect example. If you asked the average Brit about Spain they would say they love it, sunny, wine, and all the balconies they could jump off of. Nobody would have a negative thought. Meanwhile Spain is still seething some tiny rock can't be theirs while half the country wants to secede anyways. They'll unironically bring up piracy in the 1600-1700s also. It's a weirdly one-sided rivalry.
