Yeah. I’ve accepted that the writers aren’t going to do anything with him and that any future appearance will have him attached to the hip with Neuvillette so he won’t have fun interactions either. Best I can do is try and make my own expy and attempt to write him better but honestly his design and backstory is so perfect to me I don’t know how I could design my take on him without completely plagiarising him.
