I think you are confusing character flaws with personality.
Mav's only "flaw" is being unrelatable because of her inhuman (despite being the human archon) willingness to self-sacrfice and completely unyielding resolve.
Normally people consider these flaws instead of virtues if a character is unreasonably committed to them, because it means something twisted them into repressing their own needs. But unless they show somebody onscreen explicitly say that to her multiple times like Zhongli's money gag, most of the audience isn't going to see it that way.
