When searching for characters to showcase against Phainon, I thought about who is true weakest, most forgotten one. Is it Arlan? Hell no he's famous for beating Firefly. PMC? Wind Dan Heng? No, no, no, they all have showcases recently. The ONLY character with zero showcases to her name in over 6 months, is Hook. The most forgotten character turned out to be the ICON of DDD herself, that's why she's the perfect match for Phainon. Most Unpopular vs Most Popular, Humanity vs Divinity, Hard Work vs Talent, David vs Goliath, Teamwork vs Solo, Mechanics vs Multipliers, SKILL VS STAT. I've always believed the most important thing is player agency, how much you can optimize a run, because only then will the game have meaning. After all we are not puppets, we are humans. With perfect utilization of all synergy and boss mechanics, I believe even a human can reach a god who is incapable of doing any of that. "O great Lord Ravager, how does it feel to be looked down upon by a little girl?".When searching for characters to showcase against Phainon, I thought about who is true weakest, most forgotten one.
