democracy straight up doesn't work when the population is ignorant or outright stupid with no capability nor desire for higher thought. This thread is a great example since it's essentially about an issue (free speech and the like) that most great thinkers came to similar conclusions on such having to allow all of it just because of the high likelihood of the hammer you use to snuff out "wrong speak" being one day be turned on your "wrong speak"
