I've seen conflicting reports that either Japanese or Spanish is the most popular foreign language that New Zealanders are trying to learn.
I personally know people trying to learn Japanese but I don't know anyone learning Spanish, nor can think of much of a reason to.

Do you any fellow NZistanians know anyone or are themselves trying to learn Spanish?
