Well the source themselves are being toned down more recently. The apologist will say there's no difference between source and anime. Well duh if this is happening then it will be true your materials will be censored preemptively minimizing differences between it and the adaptation, like they do with other otaku interests like japanese vidya. Doesn't mean they are not censored like how almost nobody tries for lolis and blood related heterosexual incest (redundant but clownworld) in anime anymore.
