Jewish emancipation was the death blow to Europe. Suddenly, Jews were treated not as a foreign and hostile entity, legally, but as a 100% loyal native to the land. Giving them full right to have the highest positions in the land, the most powerful positions in the land. Buy whatever, do whatever. That was a disaster. If you have money, but you can't buy land, fabrics, or have high official positions (legal system, police, military) it does not matter. You can't subvert society.
