why target a hospital?

perhaps they expect the wounded from previously struck military targets to be gathered there, so in order to finish them off they strike the hospital? That would imply the employees of the military targets struck have value of some kind, however.


otherwise maybe they're just looking for an easy target that would yield a high body count? but then you would have to expect the people there to end up as warfighters in a conflict for it to make sense.

So again, why intentionally target a hospital?
