So much shit that gets posted here about Japan is bizarrely inaccurate. It would make more sense to me if it were some sort of deceitful, clever misrepresentation, or a biased and plainly ignorant interpretation of something misunderstood, but they're rarely even that. Just things that don't actually make sense at all, claims that aren't just untrue but don't effectively accomplish anything but confusing people.
Is this behavior motivated by some sort of Japan-obsessive autism? Or is there some narrative that's just too opaque for me to understand?
