Microsoft Corporation has restored services to Nayara Energy, a major oil refinery in India that is 49% owned by Russia's Rosneft, Nayara's lawyer told a New Delhi court, days after Microsoft terminated its services due to European Union sanctions.

Nayara had approached a New Delhi court requesting the reinstatement of Microsoft's services after its staff lost access to official emails and critical company data required for daily operations.

In a statement to Reuters, Microsoft confirmed it has restored services for Nayara Energy.

"We are engaged in ongoing discussions with the European Union towards service continuity for the organization," Microsoft added.
