Then why whine about people who seek out their own kind and "don't integrate"? You want to be militantly passive aggressive and rude towards random desis? Fine. They go home and slap the controller out of their child's hands and beat them until they study harder and ace their exams. Their grandkids grow up hearing about how their parents and grandparents suffered indignity after indignity only to give them a better future. And some of those people take every single opportunity they get to hold the West to its stated promise that it's not racist and is a meritocracy. And laws start getting written by thoroughly integrated native born Patels and Guptas and Khannas and Sunaks. That's their revenge for people who "let their grandparents know they weren't welcome there after their government invited them to their country".

To steelman, far from being put on the spot about how we would or would not be hospitable to immigrant workers, any politician who supported immigration into India would be immediately expelled and their party's opponents would never let them forget it.
Anon, unchecked immigration is awful. And if the policies attracting immigrants to Canada are out of the hands of average Canadians, it's not within our control to stop outmigration. It's a free country. An Indian has a Constitutional right to a passport and the right to travel including the right to emigrate. What would you have us do and why should we oblige you, when you won't stop giving freebies to immigrants?
