i know it's a movie but the headless horseman's sword from sleepy hollow (1999) is about as fancy as i like to get for a sword. it's practical but also looks cool. to tie it into video games, there is a skyrim mod for it (search 'hessian sword' on nexusmods) that i always include when i replay the game
