If I'm reading this right seems like Hu-Li didn't just want to be a vessel for the Sun God and wanted to flex some individuality so when she got chosen (in some implied shady way) she took the power of Ohime to make herself more powerful and became Arahime.
Ha-Re and Ni-Ni teamed up and managed to claim some of Ohime's power (?) and defeated her? I think?

And the Ohime alt art seems to just be the previous Mikanko as a young girl set way before.
