Yeah for people who actively seek forgiveness no where in the Bible does it say forgive others just for the sake of forgiveness.

Because you recoginized you were a sinner and the only way to find forgiveness for those sins is through Jesus so you asked Jesus Christ to forgive you for said sins i.e. seeked out forgiveness. Do Boomers actually ever read their Bibles or understand the subject matter?
