They're not photo-shopped. Buddha is known for blue-eyes. He was an Aryan, a descendant of the Vedics, and if you know anything about the Vedas you'd know they're all about Whites being superior. Other features, like the slanted-eyes, are just the current population of those areas projecting their own features on to him. Now this isn't to say there hasn't been enlightened Asians that used Buddhism to get there, there's plenty, but the original guy and the first masters weren't Asians.
