Midwits are more dangerous than nitwits. At least a nitwit basically knows they're a fool and doesn't attempt great feats. Midwits have a little bit of knowledge and often this leads to catastrophic outcomes when they apply this minimal information to something complex.

I see this commonly play out with people who work on their own vehicles. They like to believe they can "wrench" but they'll use plastic zip ties to secure a hot exhaust pipe or spray plastidip onto exposed wires thinking it's equivalent to heat shrink. I once saw a nigga's wheel come off because he thought welding grade 5 bolts to his hub was the same as using proper threaded studs.

The midwit plague is upon us and only getting worse.
