Anyone else disappointed that 2 set up these wonky historical events, then nothing happened? I would have made a game about the ferry sinking event. I feel like 2 was hinting that there were a lot of sketchy and spooky events throughout the town's history. I think there was more to explore. Oh but of fucking course we need a ghost game with Walter Sullivan of all things!

>suddenly gets very foggy
>gets very horrifying, then starts to sink
>he comes to on the shore
>town appears abandoned, and he isn't sure if he's even alive
>desperately tries to search for his family
>finds the town is now populated by people from the ferry
>they too came too on the shore but don't know where the ferry went
>town full of monsters
>try to get out and find answers
>no one is sure they're alive or dead, and everyone panics, gets more religious, prays, and loses their sanity
>suicides, death by monsters, etc start to pile on
>father keeps on trucking towards the end of the game

I like setting things in other timelines.

Tens of thousands of people at least, maybe as high as 100K. Each game is only a few street segments. You could get 5 games just populating the map we see here.
