Your talent in archery motivated your mother to teach you how to use some of the deadly tools used by the Rangers of the Watches. Hunters of Outsiders and explorers (and guardians) of the Cursed Swamp.
These are special arrows made from Ironwood, a special type of wood from the elven forest that shares its namesake toughness and is also conducive to magic. Each one is enchanted with engraved runes that can be activated by touching them with your Focii. You can activate any runes you need, no need to specialize your set each morning.
Activating your arrows need 1 dose of your Focii.
You have 2 arrows for now and they don't magically return to your quiver, you'll have to retrieve them if you shoot them. Activating them won't break the arrow.
Each spell can be used in two different ways depending on if they are shot out of your bow or kept in your hands.
Lightning
Shot
After landing, the arrow will disperse a cloud of debilitating lightning in a 1-meter circumference around it. This lightning, while not deadly, can outright paralyze normal people. This spell lasts one minute.
Held
A concentrated blast of thunder crashes into whatever you aim at, with a maximum of 2 meters in range.
Fire
Shot
The arrow disperses a strong burst of fire after landing with a particular incentive to burn living souls and bodies in a 1-meter circumference of the landing. The flame will completely extinguish 1 minute after activation.
Held
Spit out a deadly flamethrower for 10 seconds less than 1 meter in range. The flames will extinguish 1 minute after activation.
Holy
Shot
A cloud of Holy energy continually flows out of the arrow for 1 minute. There's not enough power in this spell to heal serious wounds or truly save someone's life but entities vulnerable to Holy will be severely debilitated. (Most Outsiders show weakness to Holy)
Held.
Bestow beneficial Holy energy into you, not only regenerating wounds but bestowing enhanced physical and mystical prowess for a short time. (A minute. Improved mystical sense means activating stronger synchrony with your soul, allowing you to sense invisible beings or weirdness in reality.) Cannot be used to bless anyone else. Also, enchant your body with Holy, dispelling most debilitating magical effects that are afflicting you.
Ice
Shot
Transform the arrow into a javelin of ice once it leaves your bow. Capable of inflicting terrible physical trauma because the momentum of your shot doesn't change.
Held.
Nothing.
You don't have access to an Ironwood bow so the shooting options won't matter.
