what do you think about them placing thermometers in urban environments where building materials like concrete and asphalt etc have a higher thermal mass and that absorbs heat way better than natural vegetation? do you think we have more or less concrete now than in the past? more or less vegetation in places where we take temperature measurements?

there are no more storms today than there were in the past 100 years, you're probably think of the monetary damage that is higher because there's more property being destroyed because we have more cities and infrastructure today than before
