thanks haha, in cases like this one, I notice a mistake i made, realize i didn't manage my layers correctly and have characters/materials/lighting separated into random layers because of some misclick i didnt notice i made 50 undos ago. it becomes a suffocating and tiresome process of trying to fix mistakes, merging layers, redoing masks so I just say fuck it and go next.

Layer management is such an underrated skill, it makes correcting mistakes a lot less demoralizing and suffocating on more ambitious pieces.
