>trash all your shards for petals because they're basically useless anyway
>use all your white petals to buy the gold petals (should be 40)
>buy Caledonia for 100 gold petals

It's a good idea to use your white petals to buy the 40 gold petals sold in the shop each month, that way every 2 months you should be able to buy a doll from the gold petal shop
