I make well over $160K a year so I don’t even qualify lol. Additionally, from the little I’ve read it’s not even a “no tax” on an over time rate it’s a “no tax” on the differential between your regular rate and your OT rate. Meaning if you make $20/h and $30/hour OT then “no tax” on the $10 differential whoopty fucking do. And if it’s a deduction, as I understand them, it won’t even provide for people already getting a return. If it does, it’s going to be such a small percentage people won’t even feel it.
In conclusion “no tax on overtime” is a fucking lie, yea. Maybe call it the “use the differential on your OT rate to deduct from what you could have possibly owed” clause?
