A short digression into the topic of Germs and the word love: to use it in direct conversation with ppl other than your s.o. or family seems weird. The younger generations have been thoroughly Americanized, so it may be more common, but I guess CC's socialization too place away from too much modern media. Or perhaps she just plays up the flustered part because she knows it comes across as cute. Either way, it fit's her character real well
