Contrary of what this place says, yes. Sega is doing a lot of stuff to promote it. We have plushies, tangle got recently a jakks pacific exclusive figure, the dc crossover is getting it's 4th reptrints for the first 2 issues while having exclusive jakks pacific figures, some characrers like the diamond cutters and surge are in official mobile sonic games and have their own models and renders. Surge and kit are gonna have exclusive figure for the next comic-con. A lot of idw are getting references in some games like frontiers and side media like the tailstubes episodes and the sonic official cookbook.
In perspective, it's eve kinda impressive how much effort sega is making with idw compared to archie for example.
I'm not really fond of tangle and whisper, but im glad the comic became something imprtant to the franchise.
