And yet their actual population is falling precipitously. Their tech is still behind the US. They have made amazing advances since being behind USSR/Russia even 2 decades ago, but they still behind the US and are flawed due to commie bureaucracy and literally never winning a war against a foerign power.
We should not underestimate them, but as it stands they would lose, although it would be unbelievably brutal, if short.
