Not seeing trust events on the "quick navigation" (i.e. the grid navigation) sucks ass, and multi-part maps (like the first Aerospace map) are effectively dysfunctional, as there's no clear indication that they are multipart, as well as no indication where are the connections between the parts, and which parts are connected to which.
It also cannot be used as a replacement for the grid navigation because switching between different maps is poorly implemented, suffers from the same exact problem the old navigation had (i.e. you have to go through ALL of them to get to the one you need.) and is much slower for that purpose.
The 3D map itself is pretty good and it's readable enough for me not to see any fundamental issue with it.
The grid navigation is a massive improvement over the old system aside from the trust events.
Honestly, if they just add trust event indicators to the grid navigation, and add proper legend connecting parts of multi-part maps, as well as fix the quest markers to point to those connections when the target is on the other part of the map, I won't have any more issues with either.
