Mahoako is literally the same stuff too but more graphic. It is sadly a prevalent idea for whatever reason on 4chan. I can give it that it is somewhat easy to believe due to the absolute spam of isekai and stuff. It isn't really them stopping doing stuff, but instead just a lack of quality stuff in general. Lockdowns shocked the industry a lot, just like any industry. Not to mention that there have always been some works that get censored, many threads feel like "babies first censored anime", although people are valid in complaining about such a thing.
