Yeah, and this was stated by Copen's dad, who is one of the most racist characters in Gunvolt. The world was already in a shitty place before septimals came onto the scene. Adepts were just an easy scapegoat for governments. While adepts are physically stronger than humans as a rule, most of them don't have powers that are destructive, meaning that most of the time, adepts destroy and kill the same as normies (with guns and bombs). They aren't burning down the world, and powerful adepts are far and few (why adept bullying, oppression, and murder are so common place).
