Again, none of these are Nyaan's inner conflicts. She didn't give a shit about diablo and whatnot. That's just another role the old generation forced on her. The newtypes killing or not are Kycillia and Challia's goals. Nyaan shooting Kycillia is a failure for Kycillia's character. It didn't conclude anything for Nyaan because she just retreats into herself afterwards instead of learning anything from it. She's even more conflicted after the fact.

Things happening to Nyaan without her introspecting on them is not a character arc. Nyaan's arcs are finding a place to belong to, and finding freedom in the form of power. The latter point is completely dropped. She never finds out what freedom means for herself nor does she even look for it, nor does she even think about her usage of violence to reach it.
The former part is touched upon in that the place she wants to belong to is with Machu and Shuji, but she never considers why. It just happens at the end when Machu drags her back. What Machu means to her, what Shuji means to her, why specifically she wants to be with them, why being at Kycillia's side didn't fulfill her even though she liked her, how she deals with the regret of leaving the others behind. Her thoughts about Shuji are even completely sweeped under the rug because she doesn't even get to have a conclusion with him. A character arc is the character developing and changing and/or becoming more aware of themselves and others and being able to make meaningful decision with what they've learned. Nyaan didn't get to have any of it. She was just there along for the ride.
