Genuine hikikomori. Been trying to crawl out of my shell the past two years, but this year has been especially rough and I've been relapsing lately. Outside of that, I'm a bland, timid Southeast Asian nerd that's just been depressed under the summer heat.

Japanese stuff (may go on another trip in the winter)
Vidya (anime fighting, roguelike card, mind-numbing simulator, down to try any co-op)
Music (haven't played an instrument in a while but I listen to various rock and electronic subgenres)
Amateur photography (burnt out)

Likeminded genuine friends and/or new accountability partner(s). Reasons to make me smile, leave the house. I'd really prefer local; online/SoCal friends are fine too, but I seem to have a bunch already and it would be a nice change of pace to look forward to easily meeting up with real people at some point. Hearing from other Asians would be cool too, but not required.

As always, the usual shit- hookups, distant, friend collectors, assholes, degenerate, mentally ill. But also a personal disinterest in talking to local jaded tech/career/rich people.

Although I'm fine with being fully transparent and share details about myself to make you feel comfortable talking to me, I don't feel like solely venting if that's your way of cheering me up; I've been doing that way too much lately and I'd much rather be distracted from my problems now.
