Guys, I have to correct some mistakes:
1. I am wrong. It isn't just $30B that was allocated to border enforcement. It's much more $75B so far. The bill is enormous. There's $2B just in recruitment bonuses. There are a lot of different very specific areas of funding here. $50B will be appropriated solely for the Border Infrastructure and Wall System (BIAWS) to ensure that our people are protected against the criminals and drugs outside of our border.
2. Everything Biden did to legalize illegal immigration that was approved by the Supreme Court is now semi-codified but there are now heavy taxes on their presence here. In order to legalize an illegal, future administrations will need to impose fees on their status, even for stuff that was already supposed to be legal immigration status. The law explicitly states that, even if they paid the fee, the President can still deport them.
3. Since the Parliamentarian ruled that allowing States to engage in concurrent enforcement isn't directly affecting the budget and thus ineligible for inclusion, the Senate GOP found a workaround: They spent more than $12B to support State-level concurrent enforcement efforts. In other words, if you live in a red state, you're about to get a payout from the BBB just because your Governor is going to take a BBB handout to pay for more cops to arrest illegals.
4. Just in case the amounts otherwise appropriated aren't enough, there's an additional $10B support fund to just spend on whatever. It's a fallback for the DHS to support our continued border enforcement.

The BBB is actually much better overall. I'm not thrilled about losing the defunding of trannies, but this is more than enough border enforcement to sate my desires.
