Unless you're using a guide or being absurdly meticulous about backtracking every time you have an opportunity to do so, you'll probably miss quite a bit on your first playthrough, and that's fine. As far as overall tips go, Gun Stinger is incredibly useful for stunning enemies so you can juggle them with Fist or Sword Rising, and you can use Gun Stinger before you even officially unlock it. Form a weapon that already has Stinger unlocked, likely Fist or Sword, draw the symbol for Gun, then do the back-forward input for Stinger and press A. You'll morph into Gun and do Gun Stinger immediately.
