Ok this guy's a giant faggot, but I'll still hear him out.

Honestly I agreed with a lot of the points he brought up. They were the same thoughts I had while I was playing the game.
I spent more time wondering what interesting things the story MIGHT do later on than, you know, actually being interested in what was happening on-screen, because there were long sections where the story was frankly not that engaging.
The whole SF/2nd Scenario split was bizarre and made the overall structure of the game feel unsatisfying. SF really does feel like just another one of the 99 non-2nd Scenario endings, except that it arbitrarily declares itself to be more important based on spurious reasons that are never really addressed in any other route.
He was spot on when he said the game feels aimless and wasn't "about" anything. It never feels like character deaths or the consequences of your actions matter in any route because there are so fucking many endings that they all start to blur together. A lot of individual routes are just bad and are clearly the product of the writers just shoving in every trope they could think of. By the time we got to zombies and brain parasites I was just rolling my eyes.
The only reason I stuck it out for as long as I did was because Danganronpa is one of my favorite series ever and Kodaka earned an enormous amount of good will from me. I kept thinking he had some big payoff in store that would make everything worthwhile but, it never really materialized.
Game wasn't all bad though, it obviously had to be minimally entertaining in order to hold my attention for so long, and a lot of routes had some great fetish material (V'ehxy route because I like evil women, any route that involved brainwashing / mind control because I like that too) so that was nice.
