I'd suggest installing a teleportation system in your avatar. This will allow always being able to get a late joiner in a big world.

Process is:
1) you drop exit portal where you are right now
2) respawn then drop enter portal
3) new joiner copies your avatar
4) new joiner drops enter portal at spawn
5) new joiner enters through your enter portal
6) new joiner exits then drops his exit portal where you once were
7) you now enter the new joiner's enter portal
8) exit now both of you are where you once were

But there are more advanced portal guns these days you ca invest in one if you wish from booth.
I recommend the ABS system which is super good for exploration.
