Disney cartoons from the 1980s and 1990s were actually real Disney TV that had its own charm and had a real animation style and great comedy. Not to mention the many Disney studios around the world that created one of the best expressions of characters in animation. Disney Studio in Australia in particular. Unfortunately, the popularity of WB cartoons on Fox Kids and then the emergence of Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon caused it to be shut down after Disney Afternoon and replaced with Saturday Mornings cartoons that lasted until 2002. There were great cartoons in that period too, but not as many as in the early 1990s. Good times for that. Certainly better than today's crap that DTVA puts out which is unwatchable.

Actually, already with Taz-mania, Disney started copying Looney Tunes humor that lasted until House of Mouse and then replaced it with meta humor. In Darkwing Duck you already had that kind of humor that was quite different from the OG Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Gummy Bears and Talespin. I have nothing against that kind of humor, because classic Disney itself was like that, but not as expressive as with Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry, I actually love it, but what I dislike is that they copied Warner Bros. too much, instead of being their own. Disney's version of Marsupilami and Disney's version of Ren and Stimpy contributed to the shutdown of Disney Afternoon and the collapse of classic Disney.
