I did install Gentoo thoughbeit and it’s not that complicated. It’s time consuming depending on your hardware.
Gentoo has a wonderful wiki and lots of guides and even community guides for full installs for certain setup combos.
Once again, lots of documentation available for both Gentoo and Arch and even a complete beginner could install it by following the guides. And of course the community.
But here you are recommending several distros for nothing.
