Maksim Davydov, an assistant to a "deputy" of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic," gave an interview in which he told about the illegal mobilization in Donbas in 2022 and the crimes and lawlessness perpetrated by the self-proclaimed head of the "DPR," Denis Pushilin, and his accomplices.

"Roughly 70-80% of the male population of the 'DPR' were conscripted into the 'People's Militia'. However, no legal mobilization procedures were carried out. There were no results from medical or draft commissions. People with deferrals, exemptions, students, the sick, and those physically unfit for combat were forcibly taken.

Most of them had no military training whatsoever - yet they were sent to fight against the Ukrainian army and territorial defense units. They were thrown into assault operations - one of the most complex and dangerous aspects of military engagement. They were used in 'meat assaults.'

Many died. According to preliminary estimates, over 200,000 men who were mobilized then and sent to the front have been killed," Davydov said.
