Same. She and Mike have nothing in common, she made no effort to talk with him, they don't share the same hobbies, they live far away from each other, they have different lifestyles, etc.
I think she is only talking to him because part of her might feel guilty about it, or she might feel anxious about leaving her past life completely behind, with Mike being her only connection left.

Honestly, mike should've just manned up and broke up with her right there and then; It'd be much better for both of them. I mean yeah they might've cried and felt like shit for a time, but they'd soon move on, and be in a much better spot.

Also, I think there's a high chance that she's still having a thing going on with Francis or someone else.
