2666 has been one of the best books I've ever read. I have less than 200 pages left now. A Fan's Notes is not one of the great novels but I've got a real soft spot for it. It might be one of my new favourites honestly. The Heart is a Lonely Hunter is the first book I've read by a woman since Frankenstein when I was 15 and it's actually quite good. Only 50 pages in but I'm enjoying it so far.
