Yesn't, it seems that some of you dont really understand Makima... Makima is literally the old Nayuta. Makima wanted exactly what Nayuta wants, her true desires nerver changed and will never change. In that sense Nayuta never stopped being Makima.
The main difference between Makima and Nayuta is that Nayuta doesn't remember her old life, aka the hundred of years of loneliness that molded her into the brutal and cold killer that she was. Instead, she now remembers being hugged and loved.
Conquest is a character defined by both nature and nurture, but some of you seem alien to the concept of nurture.
